What Is the First Step In Reaching a Goal?

Everything begins with a decision. Weight loss. Getting out of debt. Graduating from college. Attending an event. Going out on a date. Even getting out of bed in the morning begins with a decision. We are making decisions every single day.

It’s no different when it comes to reaching a goal. You have to first DECIDE what you want. The more clear the goal, the more powerful the decision, the bigger the emotion behind your decision, the better chances you have of reaching that goal.

When it comes to reaching any goal you want to reach, be very clear about one thing: You need to DECIDE that you’re going to reach it. No excuses. No hiccups. Nothing should be able to derail you from your course of going after what you want.

If you’ve really decided that’s what you want, you’ll do anything in your power to make it a reality. Having a clearly defined goal that you can envision, taste, touch and feel (in your minds-eye) will give you the edge on achieving your goal. Basically, you just have to decide to go after it with everything you’ve got.
