Should I Lose Weight Before Becoming a Beachbody Coach

Now, I get this question all the time: “Should I already be a physicalsuccess story before I come on board as a Beachbody coach?” Now, as you know, Beachbody is a fitness company. We represent an array of different products that are in the fitness industry: P90X, Insanity, T25, Turbo Fire. And then of course we have some incredible nutritionals as well like Shakeology.

Now, so many people have the misconception that they must first get to where they want to be before they start their Beachbody business, and I cannot tell you that that is so much farther from the truth! And here are the two main reasons why I believe that you shouldn’t be at your “after” when you come on board as a Beachbody coach.

The first reason is for your own personal accountability. If you are a Beachbody coach already, and you’re putting that label on yourself, you’re gonna give yourself less room to slide. You’re gonna know that other people are looking to you. So, if you in fact do have a physical goal that you do want to get to, then absolutely, you need to come on board as a Beachbody coach and give yourself that extra layer of accountability, because it’s gonna help you get to your weight-loss goals faster.

And the second main reason that I believe that you should not be at your best when you decide to start your Beachbody business is because the journey is really appealing to other people.Now, I gotta tell you that some of the biggest success that I’ve had during my business was when I had just had my son, and I was on a mission to take off that forty-five pounds that I gained while pregnant. And during that journey so many different people connected with me. They understood what I was going through, and I was able to help so many other people along in the process.

Now, I had become a coach after I had already lost weight. I lost thirty pounds when I became a Turbo Kick instructor. The Beachbody opportunity didn’t start up until a few after that. But man, I wish that I had been at the start up when I hadn’t had my “after” yet, because I know that that really gives your business momentum.

Now, I’m not saying that you have to be a success story, that you have to have a before and after in order to have a successful Beachbody business, but what I am saying is that there is no reason why you should wait. In fact, there’s no time like the present.

If that is one of your main concerns, let me alleviate that for you. We have coaches who are in wheelchairs. We have coaches who start off over five hundred pounds. We have coaches who start in a worse position than you’re in and I can almost guarantee that.

So, there is no time to waste. We might as well start getting you results and heck, you might as well start building your business in the process.
