Are Your Excuses Winning?

I am here to encourage you and remind you of the reasons you started this amazing journey as a coach.  Life gets busy and we get off track at times, we all have reasons why something didn’t go right, why we missed a deadline.  In my 8 years as a coach,  I have gone through a lot of times where my excuses could have held me back. I had family loss, high debt, post-partum, just to name a few. I could have used these events as excuses why I didn’t hit certain deadlines, or why I didn’t finish certain things. What I needed to remember is why I started this business in the first place.  I want you to go back to your “WHY” reasons for becoming a coach, these reasons need to be bigger than any of your excuses.

What you do or don’t do every day depends on integrity. Think to yourself what qualities you would look for in a coach and how you could emulate that in yourself. These qualities need to be what you offer as a coach and as a team leader. Your team will often feel the way you feel, so whether you feel like it or not, get up and be the kind of coach you would want on your team. I want to encourage you to not give up, just keep going. Strong deadlines will help keep you moving, be firm and don’t let excuses get in your way. Don’t give up in the middle of the month because you don’t think you will hit a certain goal, remember your “WHY” reasons and keep going til the clock strikes midnight.
