Day 16 of 21 on Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset
I lost 3 pounds in the last 8 days which brings me to a total loss of 7.5 pounds since starting the program! This is very unusual for me because I’m one of those that doesn’t lose weight easily. If I do lose weight, it is typically just about 1 pound per week and I have to be working out 1-2 hours per day.
During the Ultimate Reset you aren’t supposed to workout. At first I thought that would be impossible as part of my job is being a fitness instructor, but I’ve modified my activity during instruction so I’m not pushing myself. The reason for the suggestion not to workout is that your body is working out internally, so they don’t want to divert the energy to a workout. Additionally, your calorie intake is low and if you workout you could go into too much of a deficit and your body will start to conserve energy – in that case you won’t lose weight at all.
