Why You Should Make a To Do List

to-do-listAdd everything to your To Do List & then prioritize those things that really make an impact or need to be done today.

Block out your day with certain tasks. When you do this you will give more importance to what is actually important.  This will help alleviate the feeling of “laziness” or guilt because you will view it as something that is just as important as your 9-5 job.

If you are feeling scattered, busy, or stressed then you need to write down your To Do List.

In order to get your To-Do List done, have a specific time & place where you write & edit it EVERYDAY!

Pleasure MUST be planned. Give yourself permission to relax. Plan fun time. Look at your To-Do List and determine where can you schedule in some fun, AND what you are going to do.

Prioritize your tasks. All of your activities can be broken down into categories in order of importance.

Take a look at your To Do List and consider what you can pass on to someone else.

Brainstorm everything you need to do, would like to do, hope to do, and need to remember to do. Then, ask yourself: “Does this HAVE to get done TODAY?”  If not, then move it down the list.

When making your To Do List, break down your complex tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces, and focus on one at a time.

When you don’t complete all of your tasks for the day, move them to tomorrow’s To Do List.

Remember to tackle the hardest tasks FIRST!! Get them out of the way.
