What Your Body Needs After A Workout

After working out, your body has a very small window of time to replenish and recover from the stress of your workout. The recovery phase helps you lose weight, fight muscle soreness, and helps boost your metabolism over all.

This very short period of time after your workout is estimated to be just 15 to 45 minutes post-workout. So right after you’re done, you literally have between 15 to 45minutes to get back inside your body what you need in order to boost your metabolism, to help fight muscle soreness, help you to lose weight, and help you gain your overall best results possible.

What your body requires is approximately 20 to 25 grams of protein as well as 30 to 45 grams of carbohydrates for replenishment. After workout, if would be difficult to fix yourself a meal with that many carbs and that many proteins, and then sit down and eat it all within that 15 to 45 minute time period.
